Automatic Web-based Registration System

Add an automatic online registration system to your web site. Your customers can go to your web site, enter a credit card number or eCheck, select their service plan, and download their software. The ARS automatically bills the credit card, opens an account for your new customer, builds a customized .EXE installer, and downloads it. The Automatic Registration System (ARS) is a complete online sign-up system.

The ARS consists of one HTML page that you can fully customize, an ASP page that you can also customize, and a customization utility for you to enter your prices and plan names, and other information. It installs on your RBS Server computer.

Here's how it works:

A customer visits your web site hosted at your hosting company. He reads about your service, and decides he wants to sign up. He clicks a link that takes him to an HTML page on your RBS Server, served by Microsoft Internet Information Server (IIS). Since customers enter credit card information on this page, your Server will need an SSL certificate ($74.95 / year from Comodo) and the link to your Server will be a secure "https://" link.

Your customer enters his name, address and contact information. He selects a service plan from up to six plans. He enters his credit card information, and presses a button accepting your Service Agreement.

The ARS then bills the credit card through Authorize.net, and sets it up for recurring billing. If the charge goes through, the ARS then assigns a login name and password, custom-builds an .EXE installer including your customers' information that he entered on your HTML page, and downloads it.

Authorize.net clears the credit card transaction and direct-deposits your money into your bank account.

When your customer installs his software it is pre-loaded with his personal information and his account information. All your customer will have to do is to select an encryption key. He will not have to re-enter any of the information he entered on your secure HTML page.

Authorize.net (subscription required) handles clearing credit card payments and recurring billing. There are fees associated with authorize.net. There are also several valuable add-ons like Fraud Prevention, eChecks, and more. Contact Authorize.net directly for specifics.

KeepMore.net ($19.95/month) is an online accounting system that integrates with Authorize.net. It is not required.

Comodo SSL Certificates start at $74.95 per year.

The ARS requires installation by an RBS-Authorized technician. Your purchase at the full list price includes the $500 installation fee.

Requirements: The ARS requires IIS to be running on your RBS Server, and an account at authorize.net, and an SSL certificate for your Server. The Registration Wizard is not required.
