Remote HelpDesk Help (Viewer)
The Remote HelpDesk lets you take over your clients' computer just as if you were sitting in his office. Here's how it works.
There are two applications with the Remote HelpDesk - the Client and the Viewer. The Client runs on your Clients' computer. The Viewer runs on your computer. Both applications can be installed online simply by clicking a link. Both applications automatically uninstall and remove themselves at the end of each session.
Start the Viewer first. When you want to control a client's computer, click the link to install the Viewer on your computer. You will be asked to enter your RBS Server's serial number, or the email address registered with your RBS account.
This screen contains information about your account, such as your company name and phone number. It also contains an Access Code (same as your RBS Server's Serial Number), which you must give to your client. He will enter it to initiate a remote control session.
After you hit "OK" this screen appears. It indicates that the HelpDesk Viewer is in contact with the RBS Repeater and is waiting for your Client to log in.
When your client logs in, you will get a message asking if you want to accept the connection. Answer "Yes" to begin your Remote HelpDesk session.
This is the control panel. Hover your cursor over each item for a description.
The links below will install the Remote HelpDesk. (Priority Maintenance is required.) We suggest that you copy the Client link and post it on your website, so your clients can click it from there.
