The Service Provider edition is available as a strait software purchase (as described in this section), on a "leased" model (Pay-Per-Client) where you pay monthly only for the licenses you use, and as a Hosted model, where RBS hosts your Server in our data center.

Client Count Upgrades
|
When you upgrade to a higher client count you get a 10% discount off the list price. It is always cheaper to buy more clients initially than to upgrade later. For example, the price of a 25-Client version is $1800. The price of a 50-Client version is $2900. If you have 25 Clients, and want to upgrade later to 50, you will pay $1620. You would save $520 by buying the 50 client version in the beginning.

Mercury is available in twenty languages, and is localizable. It runs in native code on all versions of Mac OS-X (10.4+) and Windows 2000 and above. A Linux version is coming soon. Mercury includes the very latest technologies from trusted companies. The Server is driven by Microsoft's .NET platform delivering functionality through Web Services, ASP, and XML. Prices are based on the number of client licenses purchased. If you bought during a sale and got free licenses, you pay the price for the support package only for the number of clients you bought. For example, if you bought 25 client licenses and were given 25 free, you pay for support based on 25.

Shipping
Most of our products can be downloaded. Orders that need to be shipped within the USA are shipped by U.S. Priority Mail for delivery within 3-5 business days. International orders are shipped via DHL. Orders received before noon US Central Time will be shipped the same business day, otherwise orders will be shipped the next business day. Overnight shipping is available for an additional $60 within the USA, and $150 internationally up to 4:00PM US Central Time.
Warranty and Returns
Remote Backup Systems warrants that the SOFTWARE will perform substantially in accordance with the accompanying written materials (its Help file, and NOT our web site) for a period of thirty (30) days from the date of receipt. For further clarification, please read the Software License Agreement and the next paragraph. We will repair or replace the product that does not meet this Limited Warranty. This Limited Warranty is void if failure of the software has resulted from accident, abuse, misapplication, a lack of technical ability on the part of the user, or issues related to hardware and software not provided by RBS. Any replacement software will be warranted for the remainder of the original warranty period or thirty (30) days, whichever is longer. This limited warranty is subject to the terms in the Software License Agreement.
Remote Backup Systems' return policy is limited to replacement of defective diskettes and materials, or repair of the software. As with most software companies, RBS offers no form of a "money-back guarantee." Most of our software can be downloaded and used immediately after online purchase. Many use our software as the basis for a business which depends very strongly for its success on the capabilities and business acumen of the owner. We cannot guarantee the success of businesses started using our software. Because of these factors, all sales are final and non-refundable. If you are unsure of the software, please download and try our fully functional evaluation software in your own environment. We will be happy to answer any questions by email or phone.
